Aaron Champenoy  |  Head Coach

Omaha, Nebraska-native Aaron Champenoy is returning to Nebraska to become Head Coach for the Hastings College Men's Soccer program. Champenoy recently finished his ninth season as Head Coach of the University of Saint Thomas (Texas) men's soccer program.

Champenoy brings to the position familiarity with Hastings.

Since starting men's soccer program at the University of Saint Thomas in 2007, he led his teams to an 82-61-11 record while winning two regular season conference titles including the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament Title in 2013. He was named the RRAC Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2015 while qualifying for nationals in 2010 and 2013. He has coached a total of 34 First Team All-Conference players, four conference player of the year recipients and 10 All-Americans between coaching at Bellevue and Saint Thomas.

He spent time coaching with the MLS Club the Houston Dynamo back in 2008 and 2009 where he worked with player development of Pre-Academy U-14 and U-15 groups. He also spent three years playing collegiate soccer at Bellevue University from 1998-2001.

2014 Season (Senior): First team all-MCAC selection … Appeared in and started 17 matches on the season … Recorded a season-high seven saves in a 1-0 victory against Graceland on Sept. 7 … Posted a team-best five clean sheets on the season … Posted a goals against average of 0.70 for the season … Season save percentage of .815 is the best mark in school history.

2013 Season (Junior): Starting goalkeeper in 10 matches ... Compiled a 6-4-0 record with 21 saves and two shutouts in 860:10 minutes of action ... Recorded a season-high six saves at Oklahoma University on Oct. 12.

At Pratt CC: Played two seasons at Pratt Community College under head coach Kevin Edwards ... Earned all-conference and all-region honors as a sophomore ... Team captain.

High School: Attended St. Theodore’s High School, Burnley, England.
